In London, a big company called Binance asks a special court to ignore most of the lawsuits against it. The lawsuit is from a group called BSV Claims and involves three other cryptocurrency companies. They’re arguing about what happened in 2019 when a type of cryptocurrency called BSV was taken off the list for trading.
BSV Claims says the companies worked together badly to remove BSV from the list. They say this caused people who owned BSV to miss out on a lot of money they could have made. Binance’s lawyer, Brian Kennelly, says the claims aren’t fair because people could have sold their BSV and bought other similar cryptocurrencies.

About 240,000 people in the UK are bringing the lawsuit, which is led by a company called BSV Claims, which was started in 2022. The person in charge of BSV Claims is David Currie. The other companies being sued are Bittylicious, Kraken, and Shapeshift.
David Currie, who leads BSV Claims, is a former chairman of the Competition and Markets Authority and a member of the House of Lords. His experience in these roles brings significant attention to the case.
Binance says that BSV Claims’ lawsuit is unrealistic because it’s too hard to guess how much BSV would be worth. They believe it’s impossible to accurately say how much BSV could have been worth if it hadn’t been delisted.
There’s a person named Craig Wright who supports BSV, but a court in London recently said he wasn’t telling the truth about being the person who created Bitcoin.
The court case has a number, 1523/7/7/22, and it’s supposed to finish on June 7.
This lawsuit is critical to how the UK handles cryptocurrency. What happens could affect similar cases and change how cryptocurrency companies work everywhere.. People who like cryptocurrency are watching closely because it could change things.
